Calvert’s 1885 Map of Lake Winnipesaukee shows the routes of both the original Mount Washington and the Lady of the Lake steamships. The routes of the Mount are marked “B&M”, for the Boston & Maine Rail Road Line, while the routes of the Lady are marked “B&L”, for the Boston & Lowell Rail Road Line.

The 1885 version seen below was the first version of four. The three additional versions were produced in 1890, 1893, and 1896. Each version added more detail to the map. The Norman B. Leventhal Map & Education Center at the Boston Pubic Library has an excellent, detailed copy of the final, 1896 version here. By 1896, the Lady was no more, and the B&M owned the Mount, so the routes of the Mount and the smaller steamships are simply marked “Steamboat Line”.
