Look Off Rock Motel on Scenic Road, 1960’s. Originally, the resort consisted of only 7 cabins and a snackbar when the property was purchased in July 1951 by Earl Anderson. The aerial photo below shows that the 7 cabins were grouped in two bunches – 3 large cabins on the left, and 4 small cabins on the right. Anderson added the motel part of the property in the 1950s. The entire resort was torn down in the late 80’s for a condo project that didn’t happen. Left as a vacant lot for over 20 years, a different development project, the Meredith Bay Townhomes, began in 2010, and was completed in 2013. Notice the train tracks along the shore line.
