Third Way Down

What is the third way down?

In the MIDDLE of the boardwalk, a set of stairs will take you down to the public boat docks. There are 11 steps down from the boardwalk to a landing, then another 13 steps from the landing down to the docks. Soon you come to a little footbridge with built-in seats where it is fun to sit and watch the boats go by. Continue to the very end of the docks, where you can dangle your feet in the water and breath in the fresh breeze off the lake.

Third Way Down is seen shortly after construction, in 2010.

The footbridge is seen during Laconia Motorcycle Week, 2026. Progressive Insurance is the title sponsor of the event. This is a new footbridge, built in 2025.

The footbridge to the docks is seen in the 1960s.
