Laconia Train Crossing Signals
Article from the March, 1953 issue of Boston and Maine Railroad magazine, Volume 22, Number 3. The article describes the modernization of Laconia’s eight railroad street crossing signals. The eight signals, from North to South, would consist of:
1. Lakeport Square, Elm Street
2. Messer St., north of Messer St railroad bridge
3. Messer St., south of Messer St railroad bridge
4. Veterans Square, Main Street, just north of Laconia train station
5. Veterans Square, Pleasant Street, just south of Laconia train station
6. Water Street, north of Fair St railroad bridge
7. Fair St, south of Fair St railroad bridge
8. Bay St, one block south of Fair St railroad crossing
