Montreal-Boston Tour

Never held

The Montreal-Boston Tour was a proposal for an eight-stage bicycle race based on the famous Tour de France. The sixth stage of the race, the Franconia to Concord segment, would have passed close to Weirs Beach, at Wellington State Park on Newfound Lake in Bristol. The race, originally scheduled for August 10, 2007, hoped to become one of cycling’s top international events, with over 20 professional and national cycling teams competing. Due to financial difficulties, the race was never held.
