The 6th Annual Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

The first festival, in 2021, had 11 teams competing, taking turns on the 2 boats in Weirs Bay. The first festival raised $37,000 for Gilda’s Club New Hampshire, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community.

Due to extremely strong winds, the 2nd festival took place in Paugus Bay, and was based at the Naswa resort. Festival organizers were pleased with the location, and the festival has been based at the Naswa ever since then. It has gradually expanded, with about 15 teams participating now.

The organizing group for the 3rd and 4th festivals was the Lakes Region Cancer Support Team. The Laconia Rotary Club organized the 5th festival and is organizing the upcoming, 6th one.
