Weirs Beach features three ice cream shops (Ivy’s, Sawyers, and Liliuokalanis); and two ice cream counters (at Kellerhaus and at the Weathervane). If that’s not enough to satisfy your ice cream craving, we suggest the following nearby ice cream shops:
In Lakeport, there is the Social Club Creamery (603) 619-5098 at 51 Elm St. The newest ice cream shop in the area, opened in 2025.
In Laconia, there is the Happy Cow Ice Cream Shop (603) 524-7772 at 385 Union Ave, open since 2012, and a Dairy Queen (603) 524-2253 at 1126 Union Ave, open since 1972.
In Meredith, there is a Ben & Jerry’s (603) 279-2200, located at the Mill Falls Marketplace, 312 Daniel Webster Highway, open since 1995. And, there is an ice cream counter on the waterfront, at Town Docks (603) 279-3445, open since 1999.
In Belmont, there is Jordan’s Ice Creamery (603) 267-1900 at 894 Laconia Rd. They make all their own ice cream! Personal favorite flavor: Peppermint Stick. Open since 1994.
In Gilford, there is an ice cream counter at Sawyers Dairy Bar (603) 293-4422 at 1933 Lakeshore Rd. They make all their own ice cream! Open since 1945.

The little diner in the lower right corner of this 1934 black & white photo shows the location where the Weathervane is located today.
