Hotel Sanborn

An 1893 train schedule advertising the Hotel Sanborn, which was a temporary name change. The etching image in the ad still shows the Hotel Weirs sign over the front door. Scroll down to see the orginal etching.

The 1893 Concord & Montreal Railroad schedule.

The illustration below of the Hotel Weirs is from the 1885, first edition of the Boston & Lowell railroad’s Summer Saunterings. In addition to descriptions of places to go and the train schedules to get there, this guidebook had extensive listings of accommodations along the routes served by the railroad.
