New Hampshire Motor Speedway
In July, a NASCAR Cup Series race is held at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway, about a half-hour drive from Weirs Beach. Close to 100,000 people attend the 300-lap race around the 1 mile oval. In 2024, the 32nd annual summer NASCAR race will be held Sunday, June 23.
As sponsors have changed, the name of the race and the NASCAR trophy itself have changed. The spoonsor of the 2024 race has not yet been announced. Since 2020, there is no longer a title sponsor of the trophy; the trophy is now simply called the NASCAR Cup.
Previously, the track held two NASCAR Cup races every season, one in the summer, and one in the fall. After 21 years, the fall NASCAR Cup race, the New England 300, was discontinued in 2017.
