The 3rd Annual Dragon Boat Festival was on Saturday, September 23, 2023. The first festival, in 2021, had 11 teams competing, taking turns on the 2 boats in Weirs Bay. The first festival raised $37,000 for Gilda’s Club New Hampshire, an affiliate of the Cancer Support Community. The organizing group is now known as the Lakes Region Cancer Support Team.

Due to extremely strong winds, the 2nd festival took place in Paugus Bay, and was based at the Naswa resort. Festival organizers were pleased with the location, and the 3rd festival was once again based at the Naswa, with 15 teams participating.
